Storing up support for the Basement
Categories: News
Each month, The Basement receives various donations of clothing, shoes and toiletries for our clients. These simple items play a vital role in the work we do as they offer the opportunity for people to have a wash, shower and exchange their clothing for clean and warm items – increasing their self-esteem and self-worth.
As more people become aware of the work The Basement does with the homeless community in Liverpool, we are receiving more and more donations and fast running out of space to store them, until recently!
Armadillo Self Storage has kindly donated 100 sq ft of space, to help us to safely store our donations, in their premises on Stanley Road in Bootle.
Armadillo Self Storage is part of the Big Yellow Group and offers clients’ storage solutions for both home and business. Storage rooms range from 10 sq ft to 400 sq ft, plus larger warehouse space and industrial units are available to rent.
Dave Reason, the Store Manager of the Bootle branch commented:
“As a local business we always try to support our community whether it’s through our staff getting involved in fundraising events, ensuring our business is conducted in a way that doesn’t impact negatively on the environment or as we have with the Basement – providing storage solutions to charities.”
The Basement is very pleased to have Armadillo Self Storage on board as one of our corporate partners.
